Sephora Hong Kong which was opened on 25th September 2008 at Hollywood Plaza, Kowloon will close its door on 31st March 2010, just one and a half year in business. Perhaps, the location at Mongkok (Sai Yeung Choi Street South) do not fit Sephora targeted clientele, a location at Tsim Sha Tsui, would be more ideal. However, in crowded Hong Kong, finding a new perfect place for a megastore is a feat itself.
Citing Headquarters' decision, Sephora, a unit of luxury goods company LVMH Moet Hennessy Louis Vuitton will concentrate on the rapid growth in China instead. There are around 40 Sephora are in 19 cities across China.
I am sad to see Sephora Hong Kong leave as Hong Kong is one of my favourite shopping destination and a trip to Sephora is essential as different brands are available there compared to Sephora Singapore.
The good thing perhaps its that Sephora Hong Kong would be having sale of up to 70% OFF selected brands and perhaps my dear readers could pick up some good bargains while you are there.
