Alleira International, the Batik-inspired fashion label stamps its artistic prints on the international fashion scene with the opening of the first Alleira International boutique at Marina Bay Sands with glamorous celebrities, socialites and the media in attendance.
The contemporary label uses batik painting techniques with eastern accents in terms of colour, pattern and texture on high quality fabric for the modern woman who seeks the beauty and versatility of unique prints fused with a touch of heritage in its Ready To Wear, Cocktail and Couture collections for women, men and children.
Alleira grand opening ceremony were graced by Alleira Batik’s brand ambassador and daughter-in-law of Indonesia President, Annisa Pohan, Los Angeles based actress and host Kelly Vaughn, Linda Black, Oli Pettigrew, Cynthia Lee-MacQuarrie and Jacintha Abisheganaden.
The guests were treated to a live demonstration on the art of batik making, shawl styling demonstration showcasing instant glamour dress up with an Alleira printed silk shawl and a visually colour hued spectacular fashion presentation of Alleira’s Spring/Summer 2011 women’s ready-to-wear, cocktail and the gorgeous bespoke couture collections. Annisa Pohan opened the show with her two year old daughter, Almira Tunggadewi Yudhoyono in a colorful dress from Alleira Cocktail and Alleira Kids.
Alleira ready to wear collection is focused on modern, contemporary versatile styles and colours that are infused with prints inspired by batik techniques. The Cocktail Collection features the use of luxe fabrics such as chiffon and silk, pattern in vibrant coloured prints and hues and in celebration of Alleira's first international flagship store in Singapore, the Alleira Bespoke Couture Collection was specially brought in.
Every piece of Alleira Bespoke Couture Collection uses exquisite 100% batik silk fabrics that are intricately hand crafted by traditional artisans, coupled with the use of technology and stringent quality benchmarks to create each Bespoke outfit in its own individual shade, hue and pattern.
Each customized designed piece is truly unique as it is hand painted at Alleira Batik's workshop in Indonesia by skilled artisans so no two pieces are alike.
The Alleira Boutique with its beautiful batik inspired collection is located at The Shoppes at Marina Bay Sands, L1-67. The opening hours are from 10am to 11pm Sunday to Thursday, 10am to 12 midnight Friday, Saturday and eve of public holidays.
