THE BODY SHOP iBUTTERFLY ASIA iPHONE APPLICATION SINGAPORE DEBUTS


The Body Shop Singapore iButterfly Asia iPhone application is launched today, coinciding with the ethical beauty brand‘s 35th birthday celebrations.  Up for grabs are The Body Shop product giveaways, good deals and great discount in a paperless coupon entertainment where all 40 The Body Shop® Singapore stores are transformed into virtual aviaries with various types of butterflies flying in the augmented reality sky at your fingertips.

The fun lies in catching butterflies as each contain a variety of discount coupons, product giveaways and beneficial content. Seen through the iPhone‗s camera viewfinder,  swing the iPhone like a butterfly net, and then put them in a collection. Once users capture their butterflies, they will be able to redeem them for free prizes and great discounts off products at any The Body Shop® outlet. Each butterfly is unique to The Body Shop® brand.

iButterfly Asia can be easily downloaded for free at the App Store to iPhone, iPod touch and iPad (with iOS4.2 and above) for consumers to explore, within 150m radius of the vicinity of any of The Body Shop® stores in Singapore for butterflies - air tags created using augmented reality and location information elements.
 

The smartphone‘s global positioning system (GPS) and their motion sensors are then used to catch‘ the butterflies. Consumers will be able to catch these butterflies using their iPhones and take advantage of iButterfly Asia-exclusive offers, including 10 grand prizes  of $500 worth ofThe Body Shop® products. These special edition butterflies will make appearances throughout the campaign.
