Montblanc Art of Writing Exhibition continues its journey from the glory of crafting exquisite penmanship to the mastery of fine watchmaking. Partnering the prestigious Musée International d’Horlogerie, La Chaux-de-Fonds, Montblanc presents an impressive development of chronograph innovations and their usage for over two centuries, taking the visitors through a walk down the memory lane on the measurement of time, recorded since 1821 with more than 30 historic chronographs showcased.
Montblanc Art of Writing
Montblanc Art of Writing Exhibition travelling showcase with Montblanc Nicolas Rieussec Chronograph is the second stop after Taiwan at Montblanc Singapore flagship boutique located at Mandarin Gallery from October 6th to 9th, 2011.
As a tribute to the inventor, master watch maker and brainchild of the watch chronograph, Nicholas Matthieu Rieussec, Montblanc created a new instrument for “writing time” that is of rare precision and style, encompassing an entire universe: beauty and invention, history and time, where moments are recorded by the pen of memory – the Montblanc Nicholas Rieussec Chronograph.
The Rieussec chronograph is the first chronograph where time display does not interact with the chronograph function, enhancing legibility of both indications and endowing a strong, unique look. As on the original chronograph from 1821, the chronograph hands do not rotate above the dials; instead, remaining motionless while the seconds-disk and minutes-disk turn underneath them.
