Charly T’s, a casual dining restaurant opened recently at 112 Katong, a premier shopping mall in the east. Known for its global cuisine prepared with fresh, seasonal produce, Charly T’s signature dishes includes American Sloppy Joe, CT’s Beef Burger and Original Recipe Rotisserie Chicken with a variety of home-made dips.
New dishes on the menu are Kansas City BBQ Chicken and the Black Pepper Chicken rotisserie chickens, Hawaiian-style Kalua Pork and German Chicken Schnitzel.
Charly T’s I12 Katong restaurant seats approximately 100, including an 8-seater Peranakan decor private dining room designed to reflect Charly T’s eclectic heritage. The “Charly’s Porch” is an alfresco 24 seater dining area, guests can watch “live” sports matches on a 60” widescreen with a complete bar or spend a lazy afternoon chilling out with friends.
At the media tasting, we tried some of Charly T’s favourites.

Charly T’s chickens are chilled, but never frozen to keep their freshness before its marinated for over 13 hours and slow-cooked rotisserie style. A aromatic chicken with crisp exterior and tender meat awaits.

A hearty range of Mum’s kitchen side dishes like the German Potato Salad, Macaroni and Cheese and Butter Garlic Rice, completes the meal.
The Kalua Pork (S$16) Hawaiian-style is well marinated and slow-cooked to perfection, with a wonderful hint of smoky flavour. Simply melt in your mouth !
CT's Beef Burger ($10.50) Juicy beef patties with fresh lettuce, tomatoes and onions, served with crisps and special sauce.
An Austrian-German staple, Charly T’s Jumbo Schnitzel Burger chicken (S$14) escalope-style is coated in bread crumbs, fried till golden brown, and served with a generous helping of CT fries for a hearty meal.
Charly T’s also introduces special seasonal items on a regular basis, excerpted from his travel journals to satisfy the travel lust and curious appetites of his fellow, Food Journeyer’s like the Yokohama influenced Negima Salmon Yakitori.
For desserts, try Charly T’s Austrian-German speciality, Kaiserschmarrn ($14) - a light and fluffy pancake shredded and then dusted in powdered sugar, raisins and served with homemade vanilla bean ice cream or the freshly baked Waffles with the Los Angeles inspired Ice Cream Sandwich.
Charly T honed his skill in mixology while working in London at the popular Lamb and Flag Pub. Green Flash (a mix of green apple, orange and pineapple) and Red Tang (a mix of strawberry, cranberry and lychee) ($6.50 each) are his specials and now available at Charly T’s.
