Malaysia Prime Minister, Umno president and Barisan Nasional chairman Dato Seri Najib Tun Razak together with his wife Datin Seri Rosmah Mansor graced 1Malaysia Deepavali National Open House 2013, organized by the Ministry of Tourism and Culture Malaysia with Johor State Government to celebrate the true colours of 1 Malaysia Deepavali Festival.
Celebrated by Hindus all over the world, 1Malaysia Deepavali Open House 2013 for Malaysia’s Hindus community's reconnection to life and celebration of inner lights, spread goodwill, peace, harmony, give thanks for life and achievements are observed with family and friends gatherings, open house tradition with Indian delicacies like murukku and thosai for Festival Of Lights.
Malaysia Deepavali Festival of lights celebration was kicked off by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak, Deputy Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin and Malaysian Indian Congress President Datuk Seri G. Palanivel at Batu Caves temple complex in Kuala Lumpur on November 2nd and celebration activities continued across Ipoh, Malacca, Johor Bahru and Kuching.
The 1Malaysia spirit is strengthen further with the hosting of National Open Houses like Hari Raya Aidilfitri, Deepavali, Chinese New Year, Christmas, Tadau Kaamatan and Gawai Dayaks as it enriches the bonding unity, understanding and appreciating the rich Malaysia arts and heritage.
Held at Dataran Bandaraya Johor Bahru, Malaysia Prime Minister Dato Seri Najib Tun Razak and his wife Datin Seri Rosmah Mansor, The Menteri Besar of Johor, Datuk Seri Mohamed Khaled Nordin and wife, Datin Seri Rosin Omar, Minister of Natural Resources and Environment, MIC President, Dato Seri G.Palamivel and wife, Datin Seri Kanagam Ramanujamn and Minister of Tourism and Culture Dato Seri Mohamad Nadzri Abdul Aziz were present.
Malaysian hip hop artist, Chakra sonic, Shruthi, Shamila Sivagura, Rahmat mega, Nassier Wahab performance and Temple of Fine arts showcased the exquisite Indian dance moves and guests enjoyed the 1Malaysia Deepavali Open House 2013 carnival and activities.
