Chi Longevity, a leader in evidence-based longevity medicine, has opened its second clinic at Four Seasons Hotel Singapore, offering a luxury health and wellness experience for travellers, expatriates and locals.

The winning formula of Chi Longevity expertise with renowned five-star luxury hospitality of Four Seasons works in synergy, setting a new standard for luxury medical services for Singapore medical tourism industry, providing a comprehensive approach with personalised, science-backed health optimisation programmes.

Seeking a better quality of life?  Chi Longevity is the first private medically licensed clinic Singapore dedicated to slowing the biological ageing process.

It was co-founded by Professor Andrea B. Maier, the Oon Chiew Seng Professor of medicine, healthy ageing and dementia research at the National University of Singapore with over 450 peer-reviewed publications and 25 years of clinical experience.  Professor Maier was also featured as one the principal scientists in the trending Netflix documentary Don't Die: The Man Who Wants to Live Forever.

"At Chi Longevity, we believe the process of ageing can be actively managed," said Professor Andrea Maier, Co-Founder of Chi Longevity.

"Through a combination of genetic testing, blood panels, continuous glucose monitoring, and psychosocial assessments, we can identify and address age-related health risks long before they manifest. Unlike traditional healthcare, which often focuses on treating symptoms, our aim is to repair cellular damage, optimise organ function, and enhance both mental and physical agility."

Following the success of its flagship clinic at Camden Medical Centre, Chi Longevity clinic utilises the latest scientific advancements in longevity research.

This includes personalised health assessments using advanced diagnostics, tailored programmes like Biological Age Reveal, Body Recomposition, Gene Insights, Glucose Navigator, Gut Health Optimisation, Physical Performance, Sleep & Stress and cutting-edge equipment to detect early health risks.

The clinic’s AGE Reader uses ultraviolet light to excite autofluorescence in human skin tissue which provides an immediate cardiovascular risk prediction in 12 seconds. Bioelectrical impedance analysis tests also provide data on body fat percentage, muscle mass and body water distribution.

Chi Longevity clinic’s multidisciplinary team – doctors, dietitians, psychologists, and health coaches work together to provide comprehensive guidance to guests on their health journey through various stages of life. These interventions may include medical therapeutics, supplementation, lifestyle change and psychological guidance.

Light up your senses: Must-sees at Light to Night Singapore 2025

Light to Night Singapore 2025, a marquee event of Singapore Art Week, returns from 17 January to 6 February 2025 to transform the city's civic district into a captivating canvas of light, art, and innovation across core venues like The National Arts Gallery, The Arts House at the Old Parliament and The Padang.

Across three exciting, art-filled weeks, the city will light up with over 70 artworks and activities, including luminous projection mappings on iconic cultural landmarks, large-scale art installations, and engaging and immersive public programmes.

This year, the theme “Do You See Me?” explores the complex identities that make up our communities to prompt new perspectives on self, others, diversity and belonging. The festival, presented by National Gallery Singapore, also captures the nation’s multifaceted identities in celebration of SG60, and showcases unique perspectives those from lesser-seen communities.

Here are some must-see artworks:

1. Travelling Through the Tropical Rainforest by renowned local sculptor and Cultural Medallion recipient Han Sai Por. The six striking, large-scale inflatable sculptures at the Padang is a commentary on the interplay between the natural and urban environments in a city’s evolving landscape.

2. Projection mapping works by late printmaker and Cultural Medallion recipient Chng Seok Tin, painter and Cultural Medallion recipient Goh Beng Kwan, and the late batik artist Jaafar Latiff.

3. Claire Teo’s multi-sensory installation Through The Looking Glass (inspired by her experiences as a visually impaired individual), and TraseOne’s light projection Now You See Us? on the evolution of Singapore’s graffiti scene (projected on the facade of The Arts House at the Old Parliament). They shed light on lesser seen communities in Singapore while serving as a platform to tell their stories.

4. A Little Bead of Work by Singaporean artist Kray Chen at the Outdoor Lawn of The Arts House at the Old Parliament. This is an interactive installation that features thousands of glow-in-the-dark alphabet beads spread across nine shallow planter beds.

5. Blades, Shrapnel, a performative installation that features a roving live performance art piece by local artist Ang Song Nian. It is held at the Padang and Empress Lawn on selected days during the festival. The performance uses laser-emitting grass cutters to simulate synchronised grass-cutting activities, drawing attention to the unseen efforts that exist alongside our manicured landscapes.

6. Art X Social: Festival Street at St Andrew’s Road will take place across all three weekends with plenty of delicious food and beverage options for visitors to enjoy, alongside roving live performances and games.

7. Festival-goers may also look forward to a series of ticketed interactive artworks and programmes, including Singapore-based collective Rainshadow Studio’s Scarce City, an immersive installation experience which seeks to spark conversations on climate change and sustainability through interactive light gameplay.

Light to Night Singapore 2025, a marquee event of Singapore Art Week is from 17 January to 6 February 2025 at Singapore Civic Districts and galleries across National Arts Gallery, The Arts House at the Old Parliament, The Padang, Empress Lawn, Outdoor Lawn and Festival Street at St.Andrew’s Road. For more information on the Light to Night festival’s full line-up, visit lighttonight.sg.
