Singapore Airshow 2024 Aerial Flypast Aviation Showcase

The Singapore Airshow 2024 at Changi Exhibition Centre saw a total of nine aerial displays aerobatic manoeuvres flypast, for trade days on 20th to 23rd February and Weekend@Airshow on 24th and 25th February, the first Public Days in 4 years for the biennial Singapore Airshow.

Six National Air Forces - RAAF Royal Australian Air Force Roulettes,  Indian Air Force Sarang, Indonesian Air Force Jupiter TNI+AU, ROKAF Republic of Korea Air Force Black Eagles, RSAF Republic of Singapore Air Force and USAF The United States Air Force B-52 Stratofortress (flypast only on February 22) and three commercial companies - Airbus A350-1000 wide body airliner, Chinese aircraft manufacturer COMAC C919 narrow-body airliner and ARJ21 regional jet. COMAC made its inaugural participation at Asia’s most influential aerospace and defence event, flying it's aircraft for the first time outside China.

This Singapore AirShow 2024 edition thrilled spectators with the largest number of flying teams since Singapore Airshow inception in 2008, performing exhilarating aerobatics  manoeuvres, spectacular stunning aerial precision performances diverse display coordinations with the latest prowess commercial and military aircraft.

Republic of Singapore Air Force's F-15SG and AH-64D Apache 

Opening the Singapore Airshow 2024 aerial display is our Nation pride The Republic of Singapore Air Force’s integrated aerial display team, featuring a Lockhead Martin F-15SG fighter jet and the AH-64D Apache attack helicopter, performing 12 synchronized stunts and choreographed manoeuvres.

The Slingshot sees the AH-64D helicopter charging into the show centre before pulling into a steep climb to apex at almost zero airspeed before executing a tight turn back while the F-15SG fighter jet enters from the right with a high G-turn 360 degrees around the helicopter.

The Sam Weave and Triple Aileon Roll sees the F-15SG releasing flares as it twist and roll with precision flying turns and 360 degrees spiral moves.

The Golden Salute is an appreciation to all audience and Singaporeans, with the helicopter performing a 'bow' and the F-15SG enters into a vertical spiral climb, releasing a column of flares to close the show.


Indian Air Force Sarang HAL DHRU

Indian Air Force Sarang is showcasing it's aerobatic manoeuvres for the first time at Singapore Airshow with Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL), manufactured Advanced Light Helicopter (Dhruv). 

The first international display for the Sarang team was at the Asian Aerospace Airshow at Changi Exhibition Cente, Singapore in 2004.

The Sarang team helicopter livery is a painted beautiful peacock, ever so picturesque when the 4 helicopters are performing formations like Iverted Wineglass, India and Diamond.

The aerobatic display highlighted Indian Air Force pilots true flying skills and showcased the ALH Dhruv's agility and manoeuvrability for Sarang Manoeuvres like Cross Over Break, Sarang Heart and Sarang Split.


Royal Australian Air Force Roulettes PC-21 

The Royal Australian Air Force's aerobatic display team The Roulettes uses Switzerland made Pilatus PC-21 – one of the most advanced training aircraft in the world.

This is the first time that RAAF The Roulettes with 6 aircraft and 7 member team is showcasing their aerobatic skills internationally with the new PC-21 at The Singapore Airshow 2024 with formations and manoeuvres like Wedge to Vulcan Rollbacks, Corkscrew and Quarter Clover and Cascades.

The RAAF conduct regular practice displays with Indonesia’s Jupiter Aerobatic team, complimenting the strong bilateral relationship of the 2 countries.

Performing mainly domestically in Australia all year round at official launches and special events, RAAF The Roulettes are trained in precise aerobatics formations, flying as close as 3 metres apart and as low as 250 feet (80m) at speeds of up to 370 knots.(685km/h) where the pilots can experience up to 6 ‘G', or 6 times, the force of gravity during a display. 

Indonesia Air Force Jupiter KT-1B

Indonesia Air Force Jupiter (TNI-AU) Aerobatic Team 6 uses Korea WongBee KT-1B. The Jupiter team performed aerobatics display regularly at Singapore Airshow, participating in 2014, 2018, 2022 and 2024.

The Jupiter International aerial performance includes  Bangkok, 2012 at Thailand aviation centurion celebration, Brunei Darusalam,  2013 at 4th Brunei Darussalam International Defence Exhibition (BRIDEX) and Langkawi, Malaysia for Langkawi International Maritime and Aerospace Exhibition (LIMA) in 2013, 2015, 2017, 2019 and 2023 and as well as numerous Indonesia official events.

Jupiter formations and manoeuvres include Jupiter wheel, solo spin, snake loop and showcased new moves this year, mesmerising crowds as usual.


Republic of Korea Air Force Black Eagles T-50

Republic of Korea Air Force Black Eagles uses Korea Aerospace Industries KAI T-50 the advanced supersonic jet trainer, for the aerobatic aerial display.

The Black Eagles are a crowd favourite with their synchronized manoeuvres and use of coloured smoke, creating pleasing Instagram friendly photos and videos.

Black Eagles ROKAF 7 and 8 have photographer and videographer onboard sometimes as passenger for sky view footages.

ROKAF Black Eagles weaved through the sky to create heart shape and Korean flag symbol in white with their manoeuvres.


United States Air Force B-52 Stratofortress

The USAF Boeing B-52 Stratofortress is an American long-range, subsonic, jet-powered strategic bomber designed to perform a range of missions and is capable of flying at high subsonic speeds at altitudes of up to 50,000 feet. 

A pair of United States Air Force B-52 Stratofortress, the legendary military plane flew past the Singapore Airshow 2024 on February 22 on its way back to its airbase. USAF B52 is a staple in the military and have been in service  for more than 5 decades.

Airbus A350-1000

Airbus A350 XWB latest edition, A350-1000 was first showcased at Singapore Airshow 2018. The aerial performance is a crowd favourite as it glides through gracefully into the clouds and sky, creating picture perfect photos for everyone. 

The Airbus A350 Ultra Long Range is operated by Singapore Airlines on the world's longest commercial route today between Singapore and New York since 2018. Australia’s Qantas will be launching the next longest A-350 route for non-stop air travel from Sydney to London and New York with the inaugural flights in mid 2026.


Powered by the latest generation engines from Rolls-Royce, the newest generation A350 brings a 25% reduction in fuel consumption and carbon emissions. 

For Singapore Airshow 2024 aerial flypast,  the A350-1000 is fueled with a 35% blend of sustainable aviation fuel at Singapore Changi Airport, in association with ST-Airport Services, Changi Airport Group and SATS.

All Airbus aircraft are already able to operate with up to 50% SAF and towards achieving up to 100% SAF by 2030.

Commercial Aircraft Corporation of China COMAC 919

COMAC C919, a narrow-body twin aisle airliner developed by Chinese aircraft manufacturer Commercial Aircraft Corporation of China COMAC flew for the first time outside China at Singapore Airshow 2024 with C919 B-001F. 

Designed and manufactured in China, C919 commercial plane inaugural flight MU9191 was on May 28, 2023 by China Eastern Airlines - who made the biggest purchase order for C919. China Eastern Airlines uses C919 on its route between Shanghai and Chengdu currently. 

At Singapore Airshow 2024, Tibet Airlines placed an order of 50 COMAC C919 special variant aircraft for high altitude flying.

Commercial Aircraft Corporation of China COMAC ARJ21-700

COMAC ARJ21-700 aircraft is the first short-medium range turbofan regional single aisle business aircraft with a flexible cabin option of twin class with 8 business class seats and 70 economy seats or single class of 97 coach seats.

Indonesia based TransNusa uses COMAC ARJ-21 and flies internationally from Jakarta to Singapore, Guangzhou, Kuala Lumpur, Johor Bahru and domestically Bali and Yogyakarta.

GallopAir, Brunei second airline have signed a letter of intent to purchase COMAC C919 and ARJ21 business and freighter jet. GallopAir aims to start flights operations by late 2024.

The Singapore Airshow 2024 flying displays was held once a day at 12:30pm-2.00pm on 20 February, 11:30am-12:25pm on 21 and 22 February on trade days and on Weekend@Airshow Public Days, it was twice a day at 11:30am-12:15pm and 2:30pm-3:15pm on 24 and 25 February. 

Members of the public could also view the flying displays via a livestream at Singapore Airshow 2024 (singaporeairshowlive.gov.sg) and a recorded version at other timings.

Singapore Airshow 2024 Static Display 

Singapore Airshow 2024 static display include Airbus A330neo Starlux aircraft,  Embraer 195-E2 COMAC C919 China Eastern Airlines aircraft,  COMAC ARJ21 TransNusaAir regional jet and Air Central cargo aircraft.

STARLUX Airlines operates an all-Airbus passenger fleet that includes the Airbus A350-900, A330neo and A321neo, flying long haul United States flights with Airbus A350 from Taipei to San Francisco, Los Angeles currently, to Seattle from August 2024 and from Taipei to Singapore,  Japan, Macau, Malaysia, Thailand, Philippines and Vietnam with Airbus A330neo and A321neo.

At The Singapore Airshow 2024, Airbus received new orders from Taiwan Airline Starlux for 5 all-new A350F freighters and 3 more A330neo widebody aircraft while VietJet Air has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for the purchase of 20 Airbus A330-900 widebodies, complementing the Airbus A321XLRs already on order.

At Singapore Airshow 2024,  Airbus ACH130 Aston Martin Edition from Airbus Corporate Helicopters made its first appearance, featuring interior and exterior designed Aston Martin clean luxury aesthetic look.


Embraer, Brazil defense & security, commercial aviation, business aviation and urban air mobility solutions showcased Embraer E195-E2 with 'TechEagle ' livery with Embraer C-390 Millennium, Praetor 600 and Eve’s eVTOL cabin mockup first appearance at the Singapore Airshow 2024.

The Embraer E195-E2 commercial jet is the  world’s most fuel-efficient and quietest single-aisle aircraft and received significant orders including from Singapore second airline Scoot.

The Republic of Singapore Air Force (RSAF) showcased 10 of its aircraft and weapon systems like the F-15SG and F-16D fighter aircraft, the AH-64D, H225M and CH-47F helicopters, the Hermes 450 and Heron 1 UAVs, the A330-MRTT and the Aster 30 missile system.

Weekend@Airshow Public Days 2024 was an aviation theme hub of excitement.

Photos with Singapore Airshow's beloved mascots, Leo and Leonette meet and greet sessions, specially planned family-friendly activities like spanning treasure hunts and constructing eco-friendly paper airplanes, getting up close with the latest commercial and military aircraft on display, meet the pilots sessions and the high octane spectacular aerial display aerobatic manoeuvres flypast from Singapore and visiting aerobatic flying teams.

Weekend@Airshow 2024 tickets inclusive of complimentary 2 way shuttle bus services from Expo to Changi Exhibition Centre were ticketed at SISTIC - SGD$34 for adults, SGD$17 for children aged 3 to 12 years, and SGD$240 for the group package, which includes 4 tickets and 1 car park label.

Singapore Airshow 2024 received its highest record of close to 60,000 trade attendees at the Changi Exhibition Centre from 20-23 February 2024 and additional almost 60,000 public attendance for Weekend@Airshow from February 24-25.

Singapore Airshow 2026 will be held in February. at Changi Exhibition Centre.

Singapore Airshow 2020 Aerial Display + Embraer E-195 E2 | Dassault Falcon 6X & 8X | HondaJet Elite Jet

Singapore Airshow 2020 showcased the latest Embraer E-195 E2 prototype "Profit Hunter" with TechLion plane livery, Dassault Falcon 6X and HondaJet Elite Jet - commercial and business aircrafts displayed for the first time at Asia’s largest and one of the most influential aerospace and defence exhibitions in the world, from 11th to 16th February 2020 at Changi Exhibition Centre, Singapore.



Deputy Prime Minster Heng Swee Keat officiated the Singapore Airshow 2020 opening ceremony at Marina Bay Sands.



The Singapore Airshow is the region’s most diversified and largest aerospace and defense marketplace, reflecting the leading edge, strengthening long-term partnerships and strategic collaborations across aviation and aerospace industry, featuring latest technology innovation trends like unmanned aerial vehicles, autonomous technology, smart technologies and cybersecurity.


Dr Ng Eng Hen, Minister for Defence and Mr Khaw Boon Wan, Coordinating Minister for Infrastructure and Minister for Transport graced the Singapore Airshow 2020 ribbon cutting ceremony and visited several exhibitors in the showhall and static display area.



Singapore Airshow 2020 witnessed JTC’s signings with aerospace companies to bring in $500 million new investments to expand the aerospace ecosystem and supplier networks; CAAS’ initiative with Airbus to improve regional connectivity in urban air mobility and ST Engineering’s five-year contract to provide nacelle maintenance services to Qantas Airways’ Boeing 737-800 and Airbus A330 fleet.



A showcase of new products and innovation like Dassault’s Falcon 6x, Airbus unveiling its blended wing body technology demonstrator to potentially provide up to 20% lower fuel consumption, Rolls Royce 25th Anniversary Trent engines, Pratt & Whitney new contracts, Mitsubishi SpaceJet M90 cabin display, ATR signing agreements and milestones are significant for Singapore Airshow.


ROLLS-ROYCE celebrates 25 years of Trent and future plans. It started manufacture of the world’s largest fan blades, for its UltraFan® demonstrator engine that will set new standards in efficiency and sustainability, offering a 25 per cent fuel reduction and emissions compared to the first generation of Trent engine.  Boeing Dreamliner 787 aircrafts uses trent engines.


Pratt & Whitney and AEGEAN Airlines celebrated the delivery of the airline’s first Airbus A320neo aircraft equipped with Pratt & Whitney GTF™ Engines while China Airline and Tiger Taiwan places their orders for GTF engine.



Rafik Mansour, Chargé d’Affaires, U.S. Embassy Singapore, said the prominent participation of U.S. industry in the show this year amplifies America’s year-round presence and purpose.



“As the Indo-Pacific emerges as a key global market for aerospace and defense, Singapore’s focus on research and development, intellectual property protection and a skilled workforce continue to make the country an invaluable strategic partner.”



The US pavilion consist of more than 150 companies with 28 US states represented, including six stand-alone state pavilions — Arizona, North Carolina, Idaho, Oregon, Utah and West Virginia.


USA companies includes Lockheed Martin, Boeing, Pratt & Whitney, Bell helicopter, Gulfstream,  Textron Aviation,  making it the largest US presence ever at the Singapore Airshow, comprising of defence, security, aircraft, contractors, integrators, equipment manufacturers, small to medium enterprises and maintenance specialists at the Airshow.  

The inaugural Aerospace Media Awards Asia
sponsored by Lockheed Martin, Gulfstream, CAE, Pratt & Whitney and Collins Aerospace was held at Mandarin Oriental Hotel to recognise the outstanding talents in the aerospace media industry.


Embraer E-195 E2 "Profit Hunter" aircraft with Tech-Lion livery conjured an imposing sight at Singapore Airshow 2020 static display area.

Brazil Embraer E195-E2, the most environmentally friendly aircraft in its class with the  lowest levels of external noise and emissions competes with European Airbus A220 (formerly Bombardier CSeries) and Japan Mitsubishi Regional SpaceJet M100/M90 from aviation buyers looking for aircrafts with up to 150 seats configuration.

Brazil Airline Azul Linhas Aéreas Brasileiras S.A is E195-E2 launch customer and operated since October 2019. 


Praetor 600, Embraer Executive Jet latest innovation jet was scheduled for display at Singapore Airshow 2020 but changed its itinerary.

Embraer celebrates its Golden Jubliee with its multi label Embraer Commercial, Embraer Executive Jet, Embrarer Defence and Security and new EmbrarerX, innovation technology. 



Embrarer commercial aviation have entered into a Joint Venture agreement, subject to final approval with Boeing owning 80% shares and Embrarer 20% in a new entity, Boeing Brasil Commerical.

Dassault aviation private business jets -Falcon 6X displayed for the first time in Singapore and 8X displayed at Singapore Airshow 2018 were the ultimate luxury cabin showcase at Singapore Airshow 2020.

ATR, the world’s number one regional aircraft turboprop manufacturer showcased its ATR 72-600 featuring its latest technologies for on-board passenger inclusion like braille passenger cards and a Hearing Aid Loop onboard Bangkok Air at the static display area.



The global success of the ATR attributes to its efficiency which uses 40% less fuel and emits 40% less CO2 than a regional Jet.

At Singapore Airshow 2020, ATR showcased its ClearVisionTM Enhanced Vision System (EVS), a world-first in commercial aviation and its Route Creation Model. This offers pilots greater situational awareness in conditions of reduced visibility and the ability to take-off and land with reduced minima, made to Guernsey and Bhutanese airlines Aurigny and Drukair, respectively.



ATR also announce that Singapore based lessor Avation PLC (AVAP: LSE) has converted two Purchase Rights into firm orders for two ATR 72-600 aircraft. The aircraft will be leased to Bangladeshi airline US-Bangla, the biggest private airline in Bangladesh

Honda Aircraft Company presented at Singapore Airshow 2020 the fastest, farthest and highest-flying plane in its class - The HondaJet Elite. 



Powered by the GE Honda Aero Engines HF120 with unique Over-The-Wing Engine Mount configuration, Natural Laminar Flow nose and wing, and composite fuselage, the HondaJet Elite is a beautiful jet with Tiffany blue and white livery.

Mitsubishi SpaceJet M90 showcased its spacious cabin  at Singapore Airshow 2020. It had completed its maiden flight with the first Pratt & Whitney GTF™ PW1200G engine assembled in Japan and is geared for final certification.


Mitsubishi Aircraft Corporation under Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, Ltd. develops, produces, sells and supports the Mitsubishi SpaceJet family of next-generation regional jets with the most spacious cabins, widest economy seats, highest aisle clearance and most overhead bin capacity of any aircraft in their class.

BMW returns as Official Car for Singapore Airshow 2020 as Performance Motors Singapore provide a fleet of 350 BMW 3 Series, BMW 5 Series and BMW 7 Series to shuttle VIP attendees.

Hot favourites inlcudes United States Marine Corps’ F-35B Joint Strike Fighter, and the United States Pacific Air Forces’ F-22 Raptor, The Republic of Singapore Air Force’s aerial display team of an F-15SG fighter jet and two AH-64D attack helicopters, and a flyover by the United States Air Force’s B-52 Stratofortress on 15 February.



China’s People’s Liberation Army Air Force (PLAAF) aerobatics team Ba Yi, participated for the first time at Singapore Airshow.


Republic of Korea Air Force (ROKAF) Black Eagles Aerobatic Team T-50 was supposed to perform at Singapore AirShow 2020 but cancelled its participation.



Singapore Airshow 2020 aerial displays opening takes flights from Republic of Singapore Air Force featuring F-15SG and 
two AH-64D attack helicopters performed exciting manoeuvres, showcasing the high degree of precision and coordination required between the three aircraft.



United States Air Forces’ F-22 Raptor
supersonic speed spectacular aerial flying display performances.


United States Marine Corps’ F-35B Joint Strike Fighter demonstrated the surperb engines of Lockheed Martin most powerful jet.



USAF B-52 Stratofortress of 2nd bomb wing, BarsdalevAir Force base flyover Singapore Air Show while it journeys back to Andersen Air Force base in Guam.



Ba Yi, China’s People’s Liberation Army Air Force (PLAAF) aerobatics team performed exhilarating aerobatic manoeuvres with coloured smoke at Singapore Air show 2020.  


PLAFF showcased of a series of  choreographed manoeuvres, jaw-dropping stunts and synchronized  adrenaline-fuelled flying displays with precision and coordination between 6 Russian made J-10 jet to the delight of the mesmerized spectators.



Singapore Air Show visitors got up-close and personal with the first in Asia display range of commercial and military aircraft at the Static Aircraft Display Area.Area.


The spectators enjoyed love-band performances by The Band of the Pacific from the United States Air Force and the inaugural SG Experience which features home-grown F&B and lifestyle brands where Singapore brewery Brewerkz created Afterburner Pacific Pale Ale, specially for Singapore Airshow 2020.


The Singapore Airshow mascots, Captain Leo and Captain Leonette, made their appearances and mingled with the vistors.


Singapore Airshow 2020 partnered PIONEER, Singapore online defence publication, to produce and LIVE stream the aerobatic flying display for the first time, on 15 and 16 Feb, at 11.30am and 2.30pm on Singapore Airshow (www.singaporeairshow.com) and PIONEER's (www.defencepioneer.sg) website and social media channels, hosted by DJs from POWER 98 LOVE SONGS – Jerald Koh and 88.3JIA – Ben Lee, and veteran hosts Augustine Anthuvan and Desmond Lee. 


It was streamed live on www.meWATCH.sg (previously Toggle) and made available to regional broadcasters and online platforms via Globecast.



The Singapore Airshow 2020 welcomed over 930 participating companies from more than 45 countries, close to 30,000 trade visitors from more than 110 countries, where over 800 delegation meetings were concluded to establish networks and connect business opportunities around the world and over 20,000 public visitors despite Covid-19 virus concerns.



More than two-thirds of its key exhibitors committing to participate in Singapore Airshow 2022 - including Airbus, Boeing, Changi Airport Group, Diehl Defence, Elbit, Embraer, Hensoldt, Israel Aerospace Industries, L3 Harris, Lufthansa Technik, Pratt & Whitney, Rafael and ST Engineering.

Returning country pavilions for Singapore Airshow 2022 include USA, Australia, Canada, Germany, Malaysia and Switzerland.



Singapore Airshow 2022 will be held from 15 to 20 February at Changi Exhibition Centre, featuring an exciting line up of aerial performance and static aircraft displays, latest aerospace technology and aviation innovation.
