ELITE MODEL LOOK SINGAPORE 2011 WITH GUESS AT ROYAL ROOM – MEDIA PREVIEW

Elite Model Look 2011 launch at Royal Room started off with a spectacular video showcase of some of Elite’s finest moments and talents. Cruising the sunny shores of Singapore, The Elite Singapore team with presenting sponsor GUESS, will tour Singapore in search of girls aged 14 to 21  to participate in one of the world’s most renowned modelling contests and a platform into the prestigious Elite international modelling agency network as a world-class supermodel.

Ex Elite supermodel and television presenter Philippa Lett, together with fellow Elite Supermodel Bao Ling hosted a media briefing session  with Chris Keely, George Sakkalli and Eric Ceret from Elite Models Singapore .

Elite Models partnership  with  Guess allows  candidates  to  take  a  picture  of  themselves  in  Guess  clothing  through  ‘MiMirror’  which  will  be streamed to the Elite Model Look 2011 website and their Facebook accounts where they can submit it for entry for the competition.  MiMirror are located  at  Guess  stores  at  Paragon,  Marina  Bay Sands, Ion Orchard and Ngee Ann City. 

The  Elite  Choice  judging  panel  will  include  esteemed  personalities  like  Michaela  Goddard, President,  Elite  Model  Look  and  Global  Head  of  Scouting;  Elite  Singapore  management; Blueprint; Sharon Lim, Editor of Elle and a surprise celebrity judge. 

As part of Elite’s focus on utilising new technology and social media,  Singaporeans will be able to vote for their favourite girl through mobile applications, interactive  website  portals,  the  Elite  Model  website,  Facebook  and  other  live  online  pages.

Elite will  select  2  supermodel  hopefuls  from  the 15  finalists  in the  semi-finals including 2  new  category  winners –  People’s  Choice  and  Face  of Blueprint, who  will  represent Singapore in the Elite international finals held this year in Shanghai and will stand a chance to compete for a contract with Elite Paris and $350,000 in Elite World prize money, an  opportunity  to  follow  in  the  footsteps  of  top  supermodels  like  Linda  Evangelista  and  Cindy Crawford – big names which Elite has discovered and represented. 

Casting for Elite Model Look is from 8th to 23rd October 2011 at Vivocity and Ion Orchard. Singapore Semi Finals  will be Ion Orchard  on 30th October 2011  and Singapore Finals  at Scape  on 3rd November 2011 . For more information, visit Elite Model Singapore.

Harajuku Japan Fashion Street Style at Tangs Orchard returns with a bigger launch this October hosted by VJ Utt with Japanese street fashion collective showcase of men and women apparel and accessories from BEAMS, Ray BEAMS, Ciaopanic, CRYSTAL BALL, DAMMY, mystic, Ray Cassin and WEGO for the first time while brands like BEAUTY&YOUTH UNITED ARROWS, coen, Dip Drops, KBF, rosebullet, Osewaya, URBAN RESEARCH and more returned for their second showcase.

 

Rei Shito, returning ambassador and celebrity blogger and James Bent, street fashion photographer graced the grand Harajuku Street Style Fashion Show and party on 7th October.

Qiu Ting, Ben, Xiaxue and Cheesie  were decked in Harajuku’s finest for the runway show.



HARAJUKU Street Style Fans who took part in a Fashionista styling competition on the HARAJUKU Street Style Facebook page were also awarded with fabulous prizes on Friday sponsored by Citizen, Dr.  Ci:Labo and JCB.
