THE HALIA VALENTINE’S DAY SPECIAL MENU / POETIC EXPRESSIONS OF LOVE SET DINNER

This Valentine’s Day, impress your date and celebrate at award winning The Halia Restaurant at its romantic lush greenery location in Singapore Botanic Gardens with Poetic Expressions of Love Set Dinner or Valentine’s Day Special  menu, created loving by Chef Reynaldo Arriola.

The Halia will be providing a complimentary "Phone-sitting" service, where guests can leave their phones with the reception on Valentine's Day to ensure the evening is theirs alone to enjoy.

From 8th to 13th February,  The Valentine's Day Specials a La Carte menu is available and includes appetisers like the Quartet of baked Sydney rock oysters or Foie Gras presse, Main Course - Rangers Valley Waygu beef cheek or Grilled Atlantic mackerel and dessert like Raspberry mousse, rose marshmallow and vanilla Chantilly mascarpone cream or Star anise chocolate.

I was invited to the The Halia Pre-Valentine’s Day Poetic Expressions of Love Set Dinner tasting last week.

Quartet of baked Sydney rock oysters paired with Chardonnay Brut, Whitlands Victoria Australia/ Brown Brothers Patricia Pinot Noir.

Fresh and succulent paired with the most amazing combinations.

Grilled Atlantic mackerel fillet with sauté potatoes, garlic, thyme and rosemary goes well with the soy balsamic glaze. The sauté potatoes is crispy on the outside and soft inside, its so good you cant stop.

Create a 3-course (starter, main course, dessert) set from the A La Carte Valentine's Specials at $108++ per person (Additional $44++ per person for a wine paired menu with 3 glasses of wine, or additional $52++ per person for a menu paired with 1 glass of sparkling wine & 2 glasses of wine)

The “Poetic Expressions of Love” 4 course Set Dinner (S$300 nett per couple) will be served only on Valentine’s Day, including a single rose, picture souvenir and sweet surprises (additional $150 nett per couple for a wine paired menu with 4 glasses of wine).

For premium garden-side dining (S$500 nett per couple), it includes a 4-course "Poetic Expressions of Love" menu, a bouquet of roses, picture souvenir PLUS a bottle of sparkling wine, complimentary tea vouchers from The Halia and sweet surprises (additional $150 nett per couple for a wine paired menu with 4 glasses of wine.

The set dinner features Chef's signatures dishes such as the Foie gras presse with apple reduced in port wine and the Star anise chocolate bar served with salty caramel ice cream and strawberry meringue.

Appetiser : Foie Gras presse - Melt in the mouth classic foie gras, classically prepared and refreshly paired with crystallised rose petal, almost too pretty to eat and paired with Brown Brothers 2005 Limited release Riesling, Victoria Australia.

Rangers Valley Waygu beef cheek with sauté shimeiji mushroom, mashed potato, lemon aioli, tomato confit and edamame bean. Another picturous creation that taste as good as it looks. Love the Waygu beef and mushroom with a dash of lemon aioli French dressing.

Star anise chocolate bar, salty caramel ice cream with strawberry meringue – Rich decadence chocolate paired with cold and creamy salt caramel ice cream, sweet notes for the ultimate dessert lovers.

A petite fours was also served, definitely one of my favourite for the night. To keep diners in suspense,  the lovely creation will be a surprise.

Immerse in the romantic atmosphere as each course is served with a mood-enhancing love quote from famous poets, sweeting the evening as the time slips by, climaxing after each course with a special gift.

The highlight of the Poetic Expressions of Love Set Dinner is that a saccharin sweet surprise will be served before each course. Certainly unexpected, it was a pleasing pleasant unforgettable Valentine’s Day experience.
