TYRA BANKS SUPERMODEL IN SINGAPORE FOR ASIA’S NEXT TOP MODEL AT EQUARIUS HOTEL RESORTS WORLD SENTOSA PRESS CONFERENCE

Supermodel Tyra Banks is America’s Next Top Model creator, host and executive producer. In Singapore to support Asia’s Next Top Model new reality fashion programme, Tyra Banks strutted into the ANTM Press Conference held at Equarius Hotel Resorts World Sentosa, yesterday morning for the adapted version produced by Ice.TV group.

Dressed in Carlos Miele bright yellow and grey silk dress and sky-high nude platform heels, Tyra Banks greeted the regional and local press warmly with her dazzling smile.

Tyra shared that girls should be comfortable with their own bodies, and expanding the ideal of beauty and show how women can be different but beautiful in their own way and not be like stick-like models.

Supporting the rise of more Asian models within the modelling industry, Tyra Banks said “it is an absolutely beautiful thing. What I don’t like to see is when models of different races come in and out of fashion. Like, oh, it’s an Asian model moment.  It’s like, you know, Asian people are here forever and not going anywhere. It’s not a moment, it just should be…”

ESMERALDA – WORLD’S SECOND TALLEST SAILING SHIP FOR CHILEAN NAVY BERTH AT VIVOCITY SINGAPORE + EDUCATIONAL HERITAGE CULTURE TOUR & LATIN MUSIC PERFORMANCE

VivoCity Singapore will host Esmeralda, the four-masted barquentine tall ship of the Chilean Navy which is on its 57^th voyage around the world. Also known as The White Lady, Esmeralda holds the record as the world second-tallest and longest ship with its mast height of 48.5 metres and 113 metres in length.

Docking in Singapore for the second time, Esmeralda is an ambassador of Chilean culture to each port it visits and is manned by its 353 crew members.  Esmeralda’s 10-port voyage will take 260 days and more than 30,000 nautical miles to complete. The Chilean Navy training sailing vessel will leave Singapore for Mumbai, India on 14 August.

Visitors will get an opportunity to tour the Esmeralda which have travelled to over 60 countries and immerse  in the heritage and culture of Chile and speak with the ship’s crew from August 10 to 14, with guided tours from 2pm and 6pm on 11 and 12 August.

Admission to Esmeralda ship is free, and children under the age of 10 will have to be accompanied by parents.  The Esmeralda Military Band will perform Latin music at VivoCity Amphitheatre on Level 3 from 7pm to 8pm on 11 and 12 August.
