oozes star power aura as she steps into Eden Hall in style for Digital Fashion
Week Singapore 2013 Press Conference at 728pm, fashionably late for the
scheduled 5pm session.
Looking youthful at 43 years old, the statuesque leggy beautiful Naomi Campbell
flashes her pearly white teeth and mega watt smile to greet the press in a
monochrome black white flower laser cut and frilly hemline dress, accessorized
with turquoise and silver bracelets and understated gold and silver rings styled
with a pair of strappy black stilettos.
The British Supermodel Naomi Campbell was cheerful and chatted happily about
her visit to Singapore for Digital Fashion Week 2013 – British Exchange
Singapore Fashion with hosts Simone Heng and Yvette King.
“I love doing fashion shows, I am very happy to be here. The amazing aspect
of digital is that it’s live and anyone can go on Youtube to see what’s
happening is what attracted me to want to do Digital Fashion Week,”
“I want to see something different, something spunky. I am from London so I
am always looking for the edge that makes you stand out, different and catches
the eye,”
When asked about her legendary achievements, Naomi was down to earth, nothing
like the diva-ness she is known for. “You have to like what you are obviously. I
am blessed to be able to do what I like and I give a 110 percent – that’s who I
am,” and thankful about her success “I have been blessed with so many wonderful
moments in my life and career in fashion and outside fashion. Meeting Nelson
Mandela is one moment I will hold dear to my heart forever,”
Naomi was looking forward to visiting Singapore and trying out hot spicy food
and shopping. "Its Halloween tonight, do you guys celebrate Halloween in
Singapore ?"
Naomi Campbell is also the executive producer and mentor for The Face, a
popular American model reality show where she guides, trains and mentors new
model talents. Devyn Abdullah is The Face 2013 winner and will strut down the
runway at Digital Fashion Week Singapore 2013.
Our guess is that Naomi Campbell will open the Digital Fashion Week show and
strutting down the fashion runway for the first time ever in South East Asia,
dressed in Zen Chi, Singapore designer’s Spring Summer 2014 glamorous gowns,
where Singapore stars like Zoe Tay, Sharon Au, Yvonne Lim were dressed at star
studded events like Stars Awards 2013 and StyleXStyle, Asia Top Fashion and
Entertainment Event.
A surprise discovery is that Naomi Campbell is interested in the latest
technology gadgets. At the photo wall, she noticed the line of cameras flashing
at her and asked "What camera are you using ? Its looks cool! " It was the new
Nokia 1020 in vibrant yellow that caught her attention.
