HBO Originals The Sympathizer limited series on HBO and HBO GO debuts

The Sympathizer is a limited series by HBO Original and debuted on HBO and HBO GO. Based on Viet Thanh Nguyen’s Pulitzer Prize-winning novel, The Sympathizer is an espionage thriller and cross-culture satire about the struggles of a half-French, half-Vietnamese communist spy during the Vietnam War, where he discovers that he is still leading spying days in his new life as a refugee in Los Angeles.
