Future Fashion Now and MasterCard Worldwide will revolutionize the way fashionistas and trend setters shop as they can pre-order the latest runway designs online while watching the live streaming of Audi Fashion Festival 2012, pay with Mastercard and receive their orders custom-produced for  delivery  between 6 weeks – 4 months, ahead of Pre-Spring 2013 store arrival in November/December.

Future Fashion Now aka as FFN will feature a Curation Panel headed by its Creative Director Shabnam Melwani-Reis and Tracy Phillips, Project Director of Blueprint to select designer labels from across Asia and the globe.

Another brownie point is that designers  now can sell  their  designs  online before producing what is demanded by consumers and hence  reduces wastage of resources while increase the  overall  profitability  of  the  labels.

Fashion lovers can anticipate the  Cruise  collection  in May,  and  Spring/Summer  designs from  August  to  October and Accessories  from November to January period while the Fall/ Winter pieces will be featured in February until April. 

Next in the pipeline is that FFN  will  organize  runway  shows  for  key  seasons, offering selected  MasterCard cardholders  access  to  view  the  collections  up-close  and  meet  the  designers  in  the  third  and fourth quarter. The Spring/Summer 2013 collections (typically in stores from February 2013 onwards) will be available for pre-order in September 2012 via FFN with more designers onboard.

The Queen of Malaysia, Raja Permaisuri Agong Tuanku Hajah Haminah, together with Tourism Minister Dato Seri Dr Ng Yen Yen, and the legendary world renowned shoe couturier Professor Dato Dr Jimmy Choo  OBE graced the official opening ceremony of 1 Malaysia International Shoe Festival 2012,  held at the Putra World Trade Centre.

A world class shoe gala started in 2010, Malaysia the 'Shoe Capital of Asia' International Shoe Festival 2012 promises exciting highlights like high profile iconic Jimmy Choo Couture Sogno Gallery, Wedding Shoes Fashion Show, Malaysia Young Shoe Designer Competition,  Rainforest Shoe House and Clog Shoe Making Gallery.

Ministry of Tourism Malaysia invited BEAUTE RUNWAY to the International Shoe Festival 2012. I am super privileged to be the only fashion blogger invited with the international print media, my first fashion press trip.

While onboard my departure flight with Malaysian Airlines, i met the world famous International Four times Grammy Awards Winner and Broadway musical GREASE Singer - Olivia Newton John AO OBE who so sweetly obliged for a photo !

I arrived at Sunway Putra, a five stars hotel and checked in to my very own huge club suite with balcony and a fantastic view of the iconic PETRONAS Towers and Kuala Lumpur Tower, super excited for 1 Malaysia International Shoe Festival 2012 Opening Ceremony at Putra World Trade Centre the next day as i am a shoe fanatic.

At 1 Malaysia International Shoe Festival 2012, I was privileged to meet the esteem ministers including Malaysia Tourism Minister Dato Seri Dr Ng Yen Yen, world renowned shoe legend couturier Professor Dato Dr Jimmy Choo OBE while we welcome the arrival of The Queen Of Malaysia.

A world-class shoe festival for the 3rd year running, The Queen of Malaysia officiated the International Shoe Festival 2012 Walking in Unity, Sole of the Nation Opening Ceremony.

The giant shell opens and glows magically with a pair of Jimmy Choo Couture Shoe, hand made by  renowned shoe legend couturier Professor Dato Dr Jimmy Choo OBE, Malaysia Tourist Ambassador while The Queen Of Malaysia  Raja Permaisuri Agong and Tourism Minister Dato Seri Dr Ng Yen Yen were mesmerised by the gorgeous pair of shoes.

Datuk Jimmy Choo, the shoe designer was awarded the prestigious "You Bring Charm to the World - World's Most Influential Chinese Award 2012" from Phoenix Television in China under the arts and culture category at Peking University and World in March and The World’s Outstanding Chinese Designer 2011” Design for Asia Award in Hong Kong last year, presented the Queen of Malaysia  with her Majesty very own Jimmy Choo Couture Shoes.

After the official opening ceremony, the Queen of Malaysia together with the guests enjoyed The Wedding shoes fashion showcase featuring traditional, creative and elegant designs for different ethics group like  Malay, Chinese, Indian and Baba Nyonya weddings was an interesting insight, following by more fanciful designs used for modern weddings.

Baba and Nyonya Peranakan Wedding with the elaborate colourful wedding gowns with fine silk, meticulous beadings and gold jewellery.

The contemporary wedding shoes for brides and grooms for different wedding concepts from stylish to elegant.

The Queen of Malaysia toured the International Shoe Festival Hall and stopped by to admire the beautiful shoes including this pair of gorgeous hand beaded Peranakan slip on shoes.

Organized by Ministry of Tourism Malaysia and Malaysian Footwear Manufacturers Association, the International Shoe Festival features  Jimmy Choo Couture Sogno Gallery of Haute Couture Shoes especially designed for the shoe gala, and more than 160 local and foreign shoe manufacturers and brands from Asean countries, Thailand, the United Arab Emirates, Italy, Germany, with 90 per cent of traders from the local industry participated.

Malaysia Young Designers Shoe Competition 2012 Gallery with the creative quirky designs for platform shoes, stilettos, sling backs, high heels, boots, ballet pumps, sport shoes. Lady Gaga will love the flamboyant designs of super high heels like 10 inch heels and perhaps peacocks shoes !

A massive crowd of more than 60,000 local and overseas shoe fashionistas attended the exhibition and spent 6 million ringgit during the 4 day shoe festival.

The main highlights are Jimmy Choo Couture Sogno Gallery, Wedding Show Shoes, Wedding Shoes Fashion Show, Malaysia Young Shoe Designer Competition,  Rainforest Shoe House, Clog Shoe Making Gallery and 160 exhibiting shoe brands from Malaysia and overseas where shoe fashionists can shop to their hearts content.
